Five Ways to use Cocoa coffee sprinkles

Cocoa coffee sprinkles are made with a delicious blend of our natural cocoa powder, Belizean cane sugar, Belizean allspice, nutmeg, and cinnamon. We are often asked how to use it.

So here's a short list of some of ways we use it in our family.

  1. This first one is the most obvious. Make yourself a cup of your favorite brew. Hot and black is my preference, or you can have it cold and add milk of your choice, if that's how you take your coffee. Sprinkle generously with cocoa coffee sprinkles. The sprinkles contain some sugar, and this is just sweet enough for me, but if you love sugar, you may need to add some more. The sprinkles add a delicious chocolate and spice flavor. I drink this out of my temperature controlled Ember cup  https://ember.com/products/ember-mug-variant=30843977826389 which is a wonderful invention that allows you to go off and do something else; meditate perhaps, fall back asleep, or have a shower, and still keeps your coffee hot, up to an hour later, without having to make a fresh pot, or use the dreaded microwave!
  2. Add it to homemade granola. My way of making granola is fairly haphazard, and I use whatever I have in my pantry. I usually mix a bunch of old fashioned Quaker oats with some Belizean coconut oil. I add some Belizean honey and mix around. If I have chia seeds, sesame or pumpkin I add those in as well --  basically, I use whatever I have on hand. Then I throw it all in the oven on a baking tray with a Silpat at 400F for approximately 10 minutes. I stir it again and then return it to the oven for another 10 minutes. Once cooked, I add raisins, or any other dried fruit and leave to cool. I, then sprinkle with the cocoa coffee sprinkles to give it a delicious chocolate kick.
  3. Sprinkle over yoghurt or ice cream, or as my son Noah does, add it to smoothies.
  4. Add to fresh popcorn, cooked in a little bit of Belizean coconut oil, with some local Belizean honey.
  5. And finally( I tried this one recently), jumping on the Tik Tok bandwagon with the viral pasta chips video. I mixed the pasta with coconut oil and some cocoa coffee sprinkles and threw it in the air fryer for 10 -12  minutes at 400F, shaking half way through. It's surprisingly addictive and delicious. I tried making a Tik Tok of it, but got so frustrated that I finally gave up! Don't think its for me.                                                                                                                                   So there you have it - five easy ways to use Cocoa coffee sprinkles.
